October 8, 2022: A Message from the BMDWCA President
Dear Membership,
It is with a heavy heart that I report to you that BMDWCA Board of Directors has
lost a total of five (5) of its members to resignation. Our 9-member board became
a 4-member board, which is just enough to have a quorum. Thanks to Deej
Banister for putting in her letter of intent to serve on the board, we are now a 5-
member board.
That being said, I am appealing to you, the membership, to step up to the plate and
serve on the board. Without a viable, committed board, we could lose the ability to
keep water flowing to our houses and cabins (and what happens to property values
if there is no water). Those of you who are willing to serve on the board should
send a short letter of interest to me or any board member.
Yet not all is negative. There are fewer leaks than previously found. Audits are
underway for the 2021 and 2022 years. Repairs are being made before winter
arrives. We have a great community in the beautiful northern New Mexico
mountains to come to.
By the way, a quick reminder. Please be sure to winterize your homes and cabins.
Stop and waste valves need to be closed properly. If you need help ensuring this is
done correctly, please contact me or any board member for assistance.
Until the next message, be safe, happy and healthy.
